Summer Break is here and school is out. I'd planned to get at least one of my novels finally finished by next month, but you know what they say about plans. I greatly underestimated the ability of my children to entertain themselves. It's been so challenging to find quiet moments to get all of the scenes and dialogue out of my head. Sure I could work at night, but I'll be honest admit that the last time I tried writing late at night I was exhausted and woke up to some gibberish the next morning.
I tried to make some sense of what I'd written, but could salvage two sentences. I need to write when I am well rested and wide awake. With that said my plan for this week is put the kids to bed early. I know Summer Break is for staying up late because there's no school to worry about the next day, but I NEED to write.
Also, last week I think I read the best book of my 2016 yet. Why didn't anybody tell me about Sarah J. Maas? I stopped reading YA after the end of the Twilight series, but after reading ACOTAR, I'm back on the YA bandwagon. Like seriously, I'm trying to take myself out of rereading it because I have a ton of ARCs that I need to get read and reviewed for their respective publishers.
Aside from struggling with writing time and fangirling over Sarah J. Maas, I haven't been up to much.
On The Blog Last Week
I'm slowly but surely getting the hang of writing on this blog again. With that said last week was slow in the writing department.
On The Blog This Week
My goal this week is get up a few book reviews, a post about whether or not I'm doing Camp NaNoWriMo in July and of course my Week 2 Stacking the Shelves post.
Around The Internet
This week there some pretty good posts and videos around the internet. Here's a few of my faves:

Currently Reading
I just want to say that I loved Christina Lauren's Beautiful series and decided to go back and read the novellas, but for some reason it's taking me forever to finish the first one. I'm not a fan of title. I do try to say away from books with profanity on the covers. However, Bennett and Chloe started my love affair with Christina Lauren. So, I'm going to just push through.
ARCs of the Week
Since I'm trying to finish up the ARCs I have on my Kindle, I haven't requested any new ones from Netgalley, but I did get the books below in the mailbox.
I'm super excited to read Nely's book because I was introduced to her through Coca-Cola (they sponsor my parenting lifestyle blog). I've never heard of Ace Atkins, but I do love a good thriller read. I read the blurb for this book and knew I had to give it a read. I saw a giveaway for it on Goodreads, entered and won!
